Our Story

From One Cabin to a Community

In September 2018, a hurricane forced us off course to North Carolina's Outer Banks. We headed north instead, searching for a lakeside cabin in Maine. A late-night search led us to Greenville and Moosehead Lake—a place we'd never heard of. When dawn broke, we knew we'd found something special. That first cabin, Winterfell, became our cherished retreat. Friends and neighbors soon asked us to manage their properties, and North Woods Maine Cabins was born. Today we steward over 100 properties, each offering rustic charm and modern comfort.
